On May 8, 2024, HYNN signed a cooperation agreement with the PEM School of Electric Vehicles at RWTH Aachen University in Germany. In the future, the two parties will carry out substantial cooperation in a number of industrial innovations and academic research in Aachen, Germany, and work together to optimize battery manufacturing processes and improve battery performance.
Professor Achim Kampker, head of PEM, said, "The formation process is extremely time-consuming and energy-consuming, and it is still one of the biggest challenges in the industrial production of lithium batteries..." The school's research team will work with Hengyi Energy's back-end processing technology experts to design, develop and test prototypes for different battery types and process systems. At the same time, Hengyi Energy's test system in the Avantis campus laboratory is open to students of RWTH Aachen University as one of the practical teaching modules to help them master theoretical and process knowledge.
Mr. Bin GUO, General Manager of HYNN International Business and General Manager of HYNN Europe, said, "HYNN is a leading supplier of lithium battery intelligent manufacturing equipment in the world. It masters the most advanced lithium battery back-end production line technology and processes, and has long provided production line equipment and services to world-renowned companies such as CATL, ACC, Northvolt, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Siemens. RWTH Aachen University is a top institution of higher learning in Germany, and its PEM Research Institute is a leader in the industry. This strong alliance between the two parties will effectively promote the optimization of battery manufacturing processes and the development of the European battery industry."
